Police arrested the victims’ mother, 48-year-old Krisinda Bright, on homicide charges, according to WPXI. Investigators believe she is also the person who called 911 to report the shooting, Ambridge police Interim Chief John Deluca told the news outlet.
Although police have not released the names or ages of Bright’s slain daughters, one was identified as an Ambridge Area High School student, WPXI reported. In a letter to parents, the school said counselors would be available for students who need help coping with the loss, according to the news station.
“We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child,” the letter read.
Authorities have not revealed a motive for the shooting, according to WPXI.
