UK's FTSE performs best; STOXX Europe flat; Germany's DAX, France's CAC both post losses.

European stock exchanges finished out the week on Friday mixed.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 0.7 points, or 0.14%, to finish flat at 505.25.

The UK's FTSE 100 was the best performer of day, rising 71 points, or 0.91%, to end the session at 7,995. Italy's FTSE MIB rose 50 points, or 0.15%, to 33,764.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, climbed 36 points, or 0.34%, to end the day at 10,686.

Germany's DAX 30, on the other hand, fell 24 points, or 0.13%, to close at 17,930.

France's CAC 40 lost 12 points, or 0.16%, to close the day at 8,010. -
