UK's FTSE, Germany's DAX, Italy's FTSE post gains; Spain's IBEX sees losses.

European stocks were mixed at the close Wednesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 0.77 points, or 0.15%, to finish flat at 506.59.

The UK's FTSE 100 added 26 points, or 0.33%, to end the session at 7,961. Germany's DAX 30 rose 20 points, or 0.11%, to close at 18,097.

Italy's FTSE MIB, meanwhile, increased 93 points, or 0.27%, to 34,039.

France's CAC 40, on the other hand, lost nearly four points, or 0.05%, to close the day nearly unchanged at 8,045.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, fell 41 points, or 0.38%, to end at 10,775. -
